Enter at your own risk...

This week has been full of hours of meetings/discussions that I'm sure you guys will be excited about once announced! However, they have caused my brain to become mush at night. I seriously have a hard time concentrating on anything. Case in point, I've been writing these first four sentences for about 20 minutes now. I've had 2 Capri Suns, some yummy almonds and I tried to watch Glee but I kept rewinding it because I would miss something even though I was staring at the screen. Has that ever happened to you? I mean seriously, I'm not even sure what I set out to actually write about in this blog. So, naturally, I've decided to ramble about random things. Which, in retrospect, is not really any different from any of my other blogs. So you should feel right at home. Here we go...

1st Question: What is the most random or embarrassing thing you've done to or in front of someone you look up to?
***My moment was when I met Quincy Jones! I was so excited and then the moment he was in front of me all I could do was cry. Not a cute cry...a scrunch your face up and streak your makeup cry. By the time I sorta got myself together, I was still too scared to talk to him about music, so I overheard him talking about food and commenced to have a full conversation with him on the many ways to enjoy sweet potatoes. I'm pretty much hoping he doesn't remember that.

2nd Question: If you could pick one day...just ONE...to do over again, what day would it be?
***My day would be the day this girl pulled my hair and knocked my books out of my hand in the hallway in the 7th grade. It made me so mad that I kicked her really hard and then I ran away! If I had to do it all over again...I wouldn't have run. Just kidding! I wouldn't have kicked her...so hard. Okay, seriously, I wouldn't have let her get to me that way. I'm not a fan of letting someone else determine your reaction. Then they win.

Last Question: If you could be any 3 characters from the movies or TV, who would you be?
***I would be...
Claire Huxtable (Cosby Show)- I must...MUST...marry Cliff. All non-Cliff types need not apply. :-)
Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)- I'm pretty sure I'm already as dramatic as she is, so it's really not that much of a stretch, but I absolutely LOVE her imagination!
Jack Bauer (24)- Yes, I do realize he's a man. However, he seems to know everything and I find that quite appealing. He also can find out any info about anyone, which completely feeds into my nosy nature. Lastly, he's stealth...who doesn't want to be stealth?!

Now, here's the deal! I've answered my random rambling questions...now it's YOUR turn! I'm so curious (that's a better word than nosy)!!
Ready.....................................Set.......................................Go!

First of all..... I am finding out through all these blogs--I am the most boring person around....

1. Embarassing moment Back in the 80's I meant this gospel artist... and when i went up for her to sign my CD---I was in such awe... I forgot my name--she actually pulled out my license, cause I was shaking and stuttering so bad--she probably though I was a flipping nut case.

2. Re-do day Dog gone--several of my days are wish i could re do again-- my most current one, was due to the morphine that was in my body from surgery... sweet lil Christian me.....Not that day... A nurse came in after surgery and wanted to take my BP in the middle of the night--I screamed at her and told her to get the HE** out of the room or I would whoop her A**.... that is NOT me....AND my best friend/pastors wife was sleeping in the room with me that night...OOPS.....why it is so a redo day--I saw that nurse in Target JUST yesterday--OMW. I apologized and apologized...

3. First... Olivia Benson on Law and Order SVU--she is so tender hearted with the victims but yet she can whoop some butt with those perps.
Second. Madea--- When someone needs a good laugh, Madea will surely give it to them...
Third, Jillian on Biggest Loser---She is absolutly gorgeous, so fit, and even though she appears MEAN and to be a *****, she cares about the contestants.

Warning--You may fall asleep with these answers.

1. most embarrassing moment--1985-87 . . . just 1985-87
2. A Day to Do over--i honestly wouldn't do any day over. I have no regrets in that way, because every embarrassing or dumb thing I've done has taught me something, eventually. It may take a LONG time for me to realize it, but that's always been the case so far.
3. From Tv. or movies, I would be;
Jack Bauer--not so much for his ability to know anything about anyone, but definitely for his unstoppable determination to see good prevail . . . and he's cool.
John Wayne as Davy Crockett in the Alamo--I don't even know what to say about that kind of bravery. The fight is lost before it's begun, but you stay and fight anyway, because there is something you love more than your own life.
Jason from General Hospital--He's a mob enforcer, but he's more noble than any other characters. Completely misunderstood, he keeps doing the right thing anyway. He never loses his cool, even with a gun to his head. He is never at a loss for what to do in any situation, no matter how strange the circumstances.
OMG, my characters are all guys! I don't want to be a guy; those are just the qualities I admire and can't think of any female characters to eximplify them.

1st Question: What is the most random or embarrassing thing you've done to or in front of someone you look up to?
There is a comedian I absolutely love and had the opportunity to meet. He only has use of one hand and being so nervous when I met him reached out to shake his right hand. (the one he can't use) I'm still embarrassed.

2nd Question: If you could pick one day...just ONE...to do over again, what day would it be?
For a good reason not bad, but the day I graduated from college. So many family and friends came from all over to help me celebrate and it was one of the best nights of my life.

Last Question: If you could be any 3 characters from the movies or TV, who would you be?
1) I've gotta agree with Holly on Jillian Michaels. I wish I could inspire people the way she inspires me.
2) Punky Brewster. It would make choosing my daily outfits so much easier. and having a best friend like Cherie, wonderful.
3) Bette Midler. AMAZING actress. Amazing voice. Amazing woman.

1) I evidently don't embarrass easily, as I had a hard time thinking of one. I remember in 6th grade, I had to transfer to a different school & then transferred back 2nd semester. Because there were too many students in my class, & not enough big desks, I had to sit at a tiny desk for 2 weeks. Everyone laughed.

I'm afraid I'm about to have an embarrassing moment, as I can't seem to finish a puzzle I started! It's not that big (1500 pieces) & I've done bigger ones before, but it's so hard, Byzantine eggs. Funniest--it only cost $6.50.

2) the day I let my married major professor (from my PhD) take me out to dinner while I was in law school. He came for a conference & after dinner, he made a pass at me. When I refused, he wrote a bad recommendation, & thereafter, I had to use other references in my jobhunting. Luckily, the law school personnel director gave me a head's up, & I could find other people. The do over would be not to have dinner with him. Back then they hadn't yet defined "sexual harassment."

3) Allison DuBois from Medium, so I could be clairvoant! Mary Shannon from In Plain Sight, because she's such a strong woman. Leleti Khumalo from Sarafina because she helped end apartheid in South Africa.

Yo. Loved the story about you kicking someone and then running away- hilarious.

1) I honestly had a very hard time thinking of one. I'm always worried I sound stupid in front of people I admire. Oh wait!! One time, at an Idol concert afterparty, I saw that someone I really um...admired...was about to leave, so I ran after that person to say goodbye. I'm pretty sure security was ready to take me out.

2) A day in college when I let my friends influence me and made some horrible decisions which in turn causes a series of negative events to occur.

3)Hilary Swank in Freedom Writers- to make that much of an impact on kids...oh man. I would love that.

Mercedes on Glee- A diva is a female version of a hustla

Jo on Facts of Life. Tough!

1. Embarrassing: Hiking w/hubby after we checked out of the hotel. At a vista point with a crowd, admiring the view. When it's time to go, hubby looks in the rearview mirror & says 'What is that lying in the middle of the road???' I look back & realize it is yesterday's panties that had been stuck in my jeans. He drives backwards, I open the door, scoop them up & we drive away. To the whoops & hollars of the many other visitors.

2. Do-over: I worked in a state lobbying firm. IT guy shows up to work on the computers. I excuse myself to go to the ladies room. As I return to my desk, walking right past the IT guy, I see in the mirror that my summer skirt back is stuck in the back of my waistband - completely! I just kept walking & I didn't even noticed if he turned around or not.

3. 3 people: I would be 'Maude' because she didn't take crap from anyone. June Cleaver because she was the ultimate mom. And Wonder Woman cuz she did it all and she looked amazing doing it.

Thanks for the questions. It was fun, M !

Pretty much anytime I open my mouth has the potential to be embarrassing. Let's just leave it at that.

I can't think of any particular day I would do over. However, I wish I had spent more time with my sister before she died.

I don't know that I would want to be a character from TV or the movies but I want some of their skills!

MacGyver (LOL, do you even remember that TV Show?) because of his practical application of scientific knowledge. He was one cool geek!

Charlie from Numbers because he used practical mathematics to help solve crimes. Another cool geek!

Jackie Chan because his stunt scenes are awesome! Besides, he holds the Guinness World Record for "Most Stunts By A Living Actor", which emphasizes "no insurance company will underwrite Chan's productions, in which he performs all his own stunts".

I love his use of a ladder at the end of this clip!

Who else would have thought of that?
